Abhainn Dearg czy Daftmill. Od 2002 roku Edradour należy do spółki Signatory Vintage i zyskał tysiące wiernych wielbicieli. Oprócz standardowego Edradoura zakład produkuje dymno-torfową wersję Ballechin. Prezentujemy tu niezwykłą edycję Edradour Ballechin Double Malt 8 years old, zestawioną z jednej beczki po sherry standardowego Edradoura i trzech beczek po bourbonie Ballechina. Whisky butelkowano z zawartością alkoholu 46% i bez filtracji na zimno.
Aromat: delikatnie dymny, subtelne nuty sherry, pomarańcze, prażone kasztany, cynamon, wanilia, miód, ślady suszu owocowego i wędzonej szynki.
Smak: owocowo-torfowy, pomarańcze, maliny, rodzynki, migdały, gorzka czekolada, wanilia, odrobina pieprzu i cynamonu i lekka goryczka dębu.
Finisz: dość długi, z nutami wanilii, pieprzu, suszonych owoców i torfowego dymu.

Edradour used to make a claim to be the smallest distillery in Scotland and with distilling capacity of 130 000 liters of spirit per annum it is a small operation indeed, yet not the smallest anymore. After Signatory Vintage purchased the distillery in 2002 the Edradour brand got thousands of devoted and loyal followers. In fact its success is so great that the owners started construction of new distillery. Edradour produces two single malts, standard Edradour and peaty Ballechin. In 2016 the 8 years old expression of Edradour Ballechin Double Malt was released, a marriage of one sherry cask (no. 1230) of Edradour and three bourbon casks of Ballechin (nos. 293-295). The Double Malt was bottled at 46% abv, of natural color and unchill-filtered.
Nose: moderately smoky, with delicate sherry notes, oranges, roasted chestnuts, cinnamon, vanilla, honey, hints of dried fruits and smoke ham.
Palate: fruity and smoky, oranges, raspberries, raisins, almonds, dark chocolate, vanilla, hints of pepper and cinnamon and subtle oaky bitterness.
Finish: pretty long, with notes of vanilla, pepper, dried fruit and peat smoke.
