Italian single malt for tasting in Warsaw
PUNI Whisky Nero / 43% – Puni Distillery was founded by the Ebensperger family in 2010 and started distilling in February 2012. The distillery takes its name from the Puni river, which flows nearby, and it’s the first whisky producer in Italy. The Ebenspergers developed own whisky formula, which includes malted barley, malted wheat and malted rye, in 2016 however they distilled few batches exclusively from malted barley. The distillery is equipped with a single pair of stills and can produce about 80000 liters of spirit per annum. Puni Nero was launched in 2016 following the Alba and Nova releases. It comprises whisky aged for three years in ex-Pinot Noir casks. Only 3000 bottles were produced.
