The Glenlivet Blairlick Hill 16 yo Single Cask (Bottled 2017) / 52,2%/ – During 2010s sales of Glenlivet single malt have increased by roughly 60% to reach 13 million bottles mark in 2018.
In recent years the company has expanded their range adding several single cask expressions, always personally selected by master distiller Alan Winchester. Glenlivet Blairlick Hill has special meaning for us. The whisky was aged in ex-bourbon barrel no. 14517 and bottled at natural strength of 52.2% abv in January 2017 exclusively for Dom Whisky. The cask yielded 216 bottles. The Glenlivet Single Cask Series is inspired by the story of the smuggler routes and the legacy of George Smith, the distillery funder. Each cask is named after a key landmark on this smuggling route.
