For every whisky connoisseur the name Samaroli is a synonymus of the finest quality. Silvano Samaroli entered whisky business in 1968 and focused on bottling exceptional single casks of single malts.
In 2008 Samaroli left every day operations in hands of Antonio Bleve but still played an active role in the business until his death in February 2017. The Samaroli brand is still alive and Bleve and his associate Francesco Saverio Binetti are now responsible for cask selection. Here we have extremely rare, collectible edition of Talisker, personal selection of master Samaroli from 1992. The whisky was distilled in 1978 and aged in ex-sherry casks for about 14 years, then bottled at 46% abv for Samaroli by R.W. Duthie with an outrun of 1572 bottles.
Peppery aroma, with hints of dark chocolate, vanilla, medicinal peat, orange peel, English leather and a rich variety of fruity fragrances, in slow succession. Ends with hay, tobacco and the vinous scent of sherry. It covers the mouth with a solid, warm and aromatic structure with a slight astringency. Sweet and soft with traces of licorice. A whiskey of remarkable personality and breadth, which is, contrary to the rule, equally pleasing both to the nose and to the mouth. Very pleasant and very clean.
