The Macallan M Copper is an ode to one of the distillery six pillars – Curiously Small Stills. The stills, in fact one of the smallest in the industry, play an integral role how Macallan people craft their spirt. “Continuing to use small spirit stills ensures maximizing the contact of the new make spirit with the copper still, resulting in a single malt with a buttery, viscous mouth coating, bursting with fruitiness with a hint of sweet malty flavor” – we read in the distillery’s statement. “The single malt’s unique, copper colored Lalique crystal decanter represents the stills and reflects the authenticity, which drives the brand through its dedication to innovative methods”. Nose: sweet banana, pear and white peach combined with malt biscuit, marshmallow and vanilla, with a hint of citrus lemon.
Palate: pear drops, caramelized banana and sherbet, developing into malt and spiced oak.
Finish: long, smooth toasted oak.
