Bib & Tucker Small Batch Bourbon /46%/ – According to the brand website Bib & Tucker was a term to describe a tuxedo or fanciest attire one might wear to wedding or special dance. The brand is a proposition of 35 Maple Street Spirits, young California-based company, which made its name with Masterson’s range of Canadian whiskies. Bib & Tucker was introduced in 2014, small batch bourbon bottled with 6 years old age statement (the company claimed that the initial batch was over 7 years old). The origins of the whiskey have not been revealed but several months prior to launch, the company executive stated in the interview that it was sourced from Tennessee and its mashbill contains 70% corn, 26% rye and 4% malted barley, what would suggest Prichard’s Distillery but that is just a wild guess.
Nose: freshly mowed grass, green apples, corn, vanilla, roasted chestnuts, hints of leather and oak.
Palate: light and slightly earthy, cornflakes, hints of vanilla and honey, toasted rye bread, licorice and touch of cinnamon.
Finish: medium long, with notes of pine needles, grass, licorice and aniseed.
