New bourbon for tasting in Jastrzębia Góra
Bulleit Boubon Barrel Strength / 62,7%/ – The modern-day Bulleit bourbon was launched in 1987 by Tom Bulleit, great-great-grandson of Augustus Bulleit, who made the first batch of Bulleit bourbon around 1830. Seagram took over the brand in 1997 and moved production to Four Roses Distillery. Since 2001 Bulleit bourbon has been part of the Diageo portfolio and it is impossible to guess which distillery/distilleries supply bourbon for the brand (the Bulleit Distillery ribbon-cutting ceremony took place on March 14, 2017). The brand popularity is growing with the speed of light, from 35,000 cases in 2007 to 1.2 million cases in 2017. Bulleit Bourbon is distilled from mashbill of 68% corn, 28% rye and 4% malted barley. The barrel proof version was introduced in the spring of 2016 and the same year scored gold medal at the San Francisco World Spirits Competition.
