The Single Cask, Blair Athol 13 years old (D.2008, B. 2021) Rum Quarter Cask Finish /56,3%/ – Blair Athol Distillery sits in picturesque Victorian town of Pitlochry in Central Highlands. It was founded in 1798 but it didn’t come to fame until Arthur Bell & Sons took over the mothballed distillery in 1933 and restarted production 15 years later. Currently the distillery is owned by Diageo and produces 2.8 million liters of spirit per annum with majority going into Bell’s blends. Here we have Blair Athol distilled on April 23, 2008, aged in oak barrel and finished in rum quarter cask # 303409A. The whisky was bottled at natural strength of 56.3% abv by The Single Cask Ltd on September 20, 2021. The cask produced 151 bottles.
