Glenlivet 14 years old (D.2006, B.2021) Signatory Vintage /62,9%/ – Signatory Vintage was founded in 1988 by Andrew and Brian Symington and is currently one of the leading independent whisky bottling companies. On every cask strength bottling the Symingtons always include much appreciated information – the cask number, date of distillation and bottling and number of bottles filled. Here we have Glenlivet distilled on October 17, 2006 and aged in first fill sherry butt no. 901006 for 14 years. Bottled at 62.9% abv as part of the prestigious Cask Strength Collection on February 15, 2021 with an outrun of 666 bottles.
Nose: fruity and spicy, blood oranges, raspberries, raisins, figs, milk chocolate, honey, cinnamon, clove, hints of licorice, notes of tobacco, leather and oak.
Palate: follows the nose, milk chocolate, honey, crème brûlée, oranges, black cherries, plums, hazelnuts, black pepper, cinnamon, hints of tobacco and sherried oak.
Finish: fairly long, with notes of chocolate, espresso, pepper, ginger, raisins, prunes, tobacco, sherry and oak.
