Maker’s Mark 2019 Holiday Edition /45%/ –
The formula of Maker’s Mark bourbon was developed by Bill Samuels Sr. with little help of Julian “Pappy” Van Winkle and Ernest Ripy (Wild Turkey). After countless number of experiments they decided on mashbill: 70% corn, 16% wheat and 14% malted barley. The brand debuted in 1958 and remained unknown for over 20 years, when “Wall Street Journal” published an article about the Samuels family and their dedication to bourbon (August 1980). Today Maker’s is one of the iconic brands with annual sales of 29 million bottles (2019). The name ‘Maker’s mark’ was an idea of Margie Samuels, William’s wife. Being a great collector of pewter she noticed that every piece in her collection bore the hallmark of the maker. Every year Maker’s Mark releases several limited bottlings commemorating sport events (Maker’s is one of the main sponsors of Maker’s 46 Mile Stakes) and holidays. Here we have limited 2019 Holiday Edition presented in a beautiful bottle adorned with a snow flake.
