Glenfarclas 185th Anniversary /46%/ – Glenfarclas Distillery sits in the heart of Speyside and is one of the last independent distilleries in Scotland with legendary status. The Grant family, the distillery owners, has been offered “loads” of money to sell but so far it doesn’t look they are even slightly interested. In 2021 the company celebrated its 185th Anniversary and the limited commemorate edition (only 6000 bottles) has been released for the occasion. The whisky is bottled without age statement but we know that this time George Grant selected casks from six different decades and they were predominantly ex-sherry casks. The Glenfarclas brand sells over 2.3 million bottles annually and enjoys enormous loyalty among whisky drinkers.
