Aberlour White Oak 2010 (Bottled 2020) /40%/ –
Aberlour Distillery was founded in 1826 and is currently owned by Pernod Ricard. It is equipped with two pairs of stills capable of distilling 3.8 million liters of spirit per annum. Aberlour is currently (2018) the eight best selling single malt in the world with global sales of 3.6 million bottles. While majority of official bottlings are marriage of whiskies aged in ex-bourbon and ex-sherry casks, the White Oak expression is matured solely in white American oak casks. The original release from 2012 earned pretty good reviews and the following year the expression was added to the core range. The 2020 relelase comprises whisky distilled in 2010 and bottled at 40% abv.
