DallasDhu D.1982 B.2010 Gordon & MacPhail Whisky /40%/ –
Dallas Dhu, founded 1898, ceased operations in 1983 and just five years later opened for public as whisky museum. The site is currently owned by Historic Scotland, the executive agency of the Scottish Government. However being out of production for over 30 years the distillery is fully equipped and in the spring of 2013 a study was commissioned by the owners to check possibility of restarting distillation. Dallas Dhu used to be part of Gordon & MacPhail’s Distillery Label range but since the lack of inventory there have been no releases lately. The bottling from 2010 comprises whisky distilled in 1982 and aged in refill casks for about 28 years.
