Kilchoman Poland Small Batch No.2, Sauternes / Bourbon / Sherry /49,3%/ – Kilchoman Distillery started producing whisky in June 2005 and the brand was launched in September 2009. The initial reviews were excellent and in 2019 the distillery completed an expansion doubling its capacity to 480,000 liters of spirit per annum. Right from the start Kilchoman has been experimenting with various types of wood for full and finishing maturation. Here we have a very interesting small batch expression of Kilchoman crafted exclusively for the Polish importer of the brand, M&P Company. It is a vatting of whiskies aged in combination of ex-bourbon barrels (75%), ex-Oloroso sherry casks (5%), and ex-Sauternes casks (20%) for about five years and bottled at 49.3% abv, of natural color and without chill-filtration in September 2022 with an outrun of 1260 bottles.
