Mortlach 13 years old (D.2009, B.2022) Signatory Vintage /46%/ – Mortlach has been associated with the Johnnie Walker brand for almost a Century; in 1923 the Walkers purchased the distillery and made its malt a major component of their Black Label expression. During most of the Second World War the distillery was given permission to remain in operation and vintages from the 1940s became true jewels in any whisky collections. Mortlach has been one of Independent Bottlers’ favorite. Here we have Mortlach distilled on April 2, 2009 and aged in three hogsheads (nos. 305108 + 305109 + 305120) for 13 years, then bottled at 46% abv by Signatory Vintage as part of The Un-chillfiltered Collection on June 17, 2022.
