Deanston 18 years old /46,3%/ –
Deanston is a medium size distillery with annual output close to 3 million liters of spirit. It was established in 1966 on site formerly hosted a cotton mill. The company claims that the meter-thick stone walls of the distillery’s warehouse help create the perfect conditions to ensure a smooth, even maturation all year round. Deanston is a backbone of Scottish Leader, a blend with annual sales north of 6 million bottles. Deanston 18 years old was added to the core range in 2015. The whisky was aged exclusively in first fill bourbon barrels (American oak) and bottled of natural color and without chill filtration at 46.3% abv.
