Bunnahabhain An Cladach /50%/ – An Cladach (Scots Gaelic for “the shore”) was launched in the summer of 2017 as Travel Retail exclusive. The whisky is dedicated to “those brave enough to explore new lands, travel the world and seek out new shores; they were rewarded with Bunnahabhain – the perfect shore to distill and mature the complex Islay malt”. The whisky described as “complex malt with sherry influence” is bottled at 50% abv and without chill filtration. Bunnahabhain is a backbone of Black Bottle blend, as a brand it has been gaining popularity with annual sales more then doubled in the last decade. (Official tasting note.)
Nose: dried fruit, caramel and vanilla with rich sherry notes.
Palate: creamy and smooth with rich sherry, nuts, spice and briny coastal undertones.
Finish: long and lingering, with hints of rich dried fruit.
