Miltonduff 7 years old (D.2014, B.2021) The Single Cask / 48,8%/ – The Single Cask Ltd. was founded by Ben Curtis in 2010 and initially operated as Malt Vault Co. It is a whisky shop, bar and independent bottling company with offices located in London and Singapore. Their whiskies are bottled ‘one cask at a time’ always at natural strength, without chill-filtration and of natural color. Here we have Miltonduff distilled on April 1, 2014, aged in first fill Pedro Ximénez quarter cask (# 800259A) for seven years and bottled at 48.8% abv on June 21, 2021. The cask yielded 177 bottles. Miltonduff Distillery is located in Speyside and produces up to 5.8 million liters of spirit per annum. Miltonduff malt has been a key component to Ballantine’s blends.
Nose: malted barley, blackberries, cherries, milk chocolate, raisins, green tea, nutmeg, black pepper and sherried oak.
Palate: milk chocolate, toffee, mixed berries marmalade, orange peel, cinnamon buns, vanilla, dash of pepper and nutmeg.
Finish: fairly long, with notes of sweet pastries, red berries, vanilla, nutmeg and oak
