Fercullen 10YO Irish Single Grain Whiskey /40%/ –
The Fercullen brand was introduced in the late 2018 by Powerscourt Distillery. The company was founded in 2017; it is located on the Powerscourt Estate owned by the Slazenger family in County Wicklow. The distillery is equipped with three pot stills made by Forsyth of Rothes and can produce roughly one million liters of spirit per annum. Distillation started in the fall of 2018 under watchful eye of master distiller Noel Sweeney, who previously worked for Cooley Distillery. The Fercullen brand takes its name from the Irish name ‘Fera Culann’ given to the lands surrounding the estate upon which the distillery lies in County Wicklow. The range comprises whiskey sourced exclusively from Cooley Distillery. Fercullen 10 years old is a single grain whiskey aged exclusively in white American oak barrels.
