Lambay Small Batch Blend Finished in Cognac Casks /40%/ – The Lambay brand is a collaboration between Ciril Camus, fifth generation of Maison Camus, French family famous for their cognac and Alexander Baring, the seventh Baron Revelstoke. Lambay is an island on Ireland’s east coast near Dublin, which the Baring family owns since 1904. The whiskeys for the blend come from West Cork Distillers in County Cork, the are triple distilled and originally aged in ex-bourbon barrels and are finished in the Camus family’s cognac casks, which after shipping have been exposed to sea air. The whiskey is cut to the bottling proof with spring water from the Trinity Well on Lambay Island. The Lambay whiskeys (small batch blend and single malt) were launched in the spring of 2018.
