Since 2015, the duties of master distiller at Bruichladdich are currently held by Adam Hannett, who continues the work of his mentor and predecessor Jim McEwan. It was Adam who prepared the selection from which barrel number 0956 was selected! The second fill Pauillac cask was filled in 2013 with spirit distilled from Bere barley malt, now only used at the Bruichladdich distillery. The whiskey was bottled after 9 full years of aging, at 59.3% ABV.
