Rosebank 20 years old; (D.1990, B.2010) Dun Bheagan / 46% / – The distillery ceased production in 1993 and the reason given was its inefficiency and effluent treatment, which would require a £2 million upgrade to comply with new European standards. In 2002 Diageo sold the distillery site to British Waterways. In 2017 Ian Macleod Distillers acquired the Rosebank site and trademark along with remaining inventory and plans to rebuild the distillery and resume production by 2019. Rosebank 20 years old, part of Dun Bheagan range, comprises whisky distilled in February 1990 and finished in French oak barrels. Only 762 bottles were produced.

 
Nose: floral with certain fruitiness, pine needles, seaweed salad, apples, pears, lemon peel, bunch of dried flowers, hints of candle wax and oak.
 
Palate: lemon curd, gooseberries, quince jelly, vanilla, salted caramel, honey, lemon grass, dash of pepper, oak and trace of cigar ash.
 
Finish: pretty long, with notes of summer fruit, vanilla, lemon grass and oak.
