New whisky for tasting in Wrocław
Jura Whisky Seven Wood / 42% – Jura Distillery was built on the namesake island in 1810. It was dismantled in 1901 and remained silent until the early 1960s, when Charles Mackinlay & Co rebuilt it and refurbished. Since 1993 Jura Distillery has been owned by Whyte & Mackay and equipped with two pairs of stills (with very high necks) produces over 2 million liters of spirit per annum. In recent years sales figures of the brand climbed tremendously and reached 2 million bottles a year. The reason for that is thoughtful marketing and certainly an increase in quality of the whisky. Jura Seven Wood was introduced in March 2018 as part of Signature Series. The whisky was initially matured in first fill ex-bourbon barrels and then finished in six different French oak casks – Limousin, Tronçais, Allier, Vosges, Jupilles and Les Bertranges.
