Arran The Bothy Quarter Cask (Batch # 1) / 55,7% – Arran is still the only distillery located on the namesake island, but things are about to change. In 2016 the building application was registered and Isle of Arran Distillers started construction of the new distillery, this time in southern part of the island. Meanwhile, it has been business as usual for Arran Distillery with couple of new bottlings appearing in the range. The Bothy Quarter Cask was introduced in September 2015. It comprises whiskies matured in traditional casks and finished for 18 months in small quarter casks (capacity 125 liters). It is a cask strength, small batch expression with the first batch outrun of 12000 bottles. (A bothy is a classic shelter usually left unlocked and available for anyone free of charge.)
