New peated whisky for tasting in Warsaw

Octomore 5 years old, Edition: 09.3 Dialogos (133 ppm) / 62,9%/ – Octomore whisky has been produced at Bruichladdich Distillery since 2002. It is the world’s most heavily peated single malt with phenols’ content in malt varies from batch to batch from 80 to over 250 ppm. The whisky is usually bottled at young age, 5 years old on average, and at natural strength. Octomore Edition 09.3 was distilled from 100% Islay grown Concerto barley harvested in 2011 from Irene’s Field, Octomore Farm and malted to phenol specification of 133ppm. The whisky was aged predominantly in refill bourbon and refill wine casks (only 25% in first fill American oak barrels) for 5 years. Edition 09 is called ‘Dialogos’ as Bruichladdich wants to start ‘a dialogue’ about every aspect of Octomore’s production.
