Glenallachie Distillery was founded in 1967 by Mackinaly, McPherson & Co. After 20 years of operation the distillery was decommissioned but resumed production in 1989 after being acquired by Campbell Distillers Ltd., a subsidiary of Pernod Ricard. Glenallachie has been main supplier of malt whisky to Clan of Campbell blend. The brand was created in the 1930s and is currently one of the most popular whiskies in France with annual sales of 20 million bottles. Glenallachie bottlings are very scarce as almost entire output is ‘consumed’ by Clan of Campbell. The 2015 Signatory release contains whisky distilled in October 17, 1996 and aged in traditional hogshead no. 5240 for 18 years.
