New whisky for tasting in Warsaw
Arran The Illicit Stills–Smugglers’ Series Vol. I / 56,4% – The Smugglers’ Series debuted in September 2015. It is a trilogy of limited editions of Arran Malts, a nod to the rich history of whisky distillation on the island. With the initial release called ‘The Illicit Stills’ the distillery owners pay homage to their ancestors, the 18th and 19th Century distillers, who produced excellent whisky however their stills were seldom registered. The Illicit Stills is a vatting of classic Arran malt unpeated, medium and heavily peated, and Arran fully matured in port pipes. Bottled without chill-filtration at natural strength of 56.4% abv with an outrun of 8700 bottles.
