Lagavulin 10 years old, Travel Exclusive /43%/ – There were few additions to the range lately; the most recent one is Lagavulin 10 years old, first unveiled at Fèis Ìle 2019. The whisky is a vatting of ex-bourbon and re-charred rejuvenated casks bottled at 43% abv and will be available exclusively in more than 2300 Travel Retail stores around the globe.
Nose: peat smoke, sea salt, damp earth, seaweed, honey, golden syrup, hints of vanilla, butterscotch, apples, peaches and dash of white pepper.
Palate: sweet and salty, honey, caramel, golden syrup, vanilla, banana bread, baked apples, cinnamon, ginger, sea salt and whiffs of peat smoke.
Finish: fairly long, with notes of peat smoke, pepper, allspice, sea salt and delicate oaky dryness.
