New peated whisky for tasting in our whisky bars

Ardbeg Wee Beastie, 5 years old / 47.4% / – Ardbeg Wee Beastie was launched in April 2020 as a permanent addition to the core range. It is a vatting of Ardbegs aged in both ex-bourbon and ex-Oloroso sherry casks for a minimum of 5 years and bottled at 47.4% abv without chill-filtration. Mickey Heads, Ardbeg Distillery manager who just announced his retirement, said about new expression: “A new permanent expression in the core range is always momentous for the distillery, but Wee Beastie is a particularly special dram; as it’s a younger whisky it means we’re able to get as close to the still as possible. So it’s safe to say this is a ferociously good wee nip!” The term ‘wee beastie’ is sometimes referred to small and very annoying Scottish mosquitos.
