Bunnahabhain 10 years old (D.2009, B.2020) Signatory Vintage / 68,2% / –
Bunnahabhain, the lesser-known Islay distillery, has been producing whisky since 1881. It is currently owned by Burn Stewart Distillers, subsidiary of South African Distell Group. Sales of Bunnahabhain single malt have doubled within last five years but they are still far behind powerful brands such as Laphroaig or Lagavulin. On the other hand Bunnahabhain remains one of Independent Bottlers’ favorite. The whisky presented here was distilled on March 17, 2009 and aged in ex-sherry butt # 900076 for almost 11 years. Bottled at natural strength of 68.2% abv by Signatory Vintage for the company German distributor Kirsch Whisky on February 28, 2020 with an outrun of 606 bottles.
