Arran Whisky the Côte-Rôtie Cask Finish / 50%/ –
Arran Distillery has been working with various wood finishes right from the very beginning. After conducting countless number of experiments the owners’ set on Port, Sauternes and Amarone finishes as part of the core range.
The early 2019 brought Côte-Rôtie Cask Finish, a unique expression of Arran originally aged in traditional oak casks then finished in specially selected Côte-Rôtie wine casks. The whisky is bottled of natural color and without chill-filtration at 50% abv. Côte-Rôtie is a French wine Appellation d’origine controlée (AOC) in the northern Rhône wine region. The wines are red made with Syrah grapes and up to 20% Viognier, a white grape used for its aroma.
