New scotch for tasting in Jastrzębia Góra
Inchmurrin Single Cask (D.2001 B.2017) / 52,7% – Inchmurrin is one of several whisky brands produced in Loch Lomond Distillery, a multi-tasking operation located in Alexandria, in Southern Highlands. Loch Lomond offers single malt, single grain and blended whiskies and after the recent change in ownership (2014) became a major player on the market. The distillery is owned by private equity company Exponent, which in recent years invested heavily in the distillery upgrades as well as in new core range. The single cask expression presented here comprises whisky distilled in August 2001, aged in cask no. 16/319-3 and bottled at natural strength of 52.7% abv in March 2017. The cask was bottled exclusively for the Polish importer of the brand, M&P Company.
Nose: malty, vanilla, toffee, honey, brown sugar, breakfast cereals, lemon peel, ginger, cinnamon, green grapes and oaky notes in the background.
Palate: malty with hint of beeswax, vanilla, caramel, candied ginger, cinnamon, touch of clove, lemon grass and nicely integrated oaky notes.
Finish: medium long, combination of vanilla, toffee, ginger, cinnamon and oak.
