Jameson 18years old / 40%/ –
With annual sales of 7 million cases Jameson is responsible for about 70% of the Irish whiskey trade. Although John Jameson founded his company in 1780 it is worth to note that the Jameson brand did not make a debut until 1963; prior to that the whiskey was sold through brokers usually branded as Dublin Whiskey. Jameson 18 years old has long been considered one of the brightest stars in the range. It is a blend of two single pot still whiskeys and a single grain (all distilled in the Midleton Distillery) aged in ex-bourbon casks and ex-Oloroso sherry casks and finished in first fill ex-bourbon casks for a minimum of six months. The revamped version of Jameson 18 years old was launched in 2018.
