New irish whiskey in Warsaw
Jack Ryan 15 years old Beggars Bush. The Bourdega /46% – The Ryan family has been in the whiskey business for six generations. They were producing Ryan’s Malt with the association of The Dublin Whiskey Distillery until the famous distillery closed its doors in 1946. The Ryans purchased the iconic Beggars Bush Pub in Dublin in 1913 and their whiskey became the locals’ favorite. Jack Ryan Whiskey Company was established in the 2000s with a focus on quality finishing of premium single malts. Such is the 15 years old expression, whiskey aged in ex-bourbon barrels and finished in bodega sherry casks (hence the name Bour-dega). It is a small batch release limited to 2500 bottles.
Nose: rich, chocolate fudge, apples, oranges, bananas, raisins, honey-roasted almonds, vanilla, hints of cinnamon and polished oak.
Palate: delicate sherry notes, caramel, toffee, apples, apricots, plums, milk chocolate, raisins, almonds, hazelnuts and dash of pepper.
Finish: fairly long, with notes of mixed nuts and berries, sweet spice and sherried oak.
